Course Objectives The aim of this course is to learn health concept, health system, organization of health system in Turkey, management of health institutions, strategies to cope with change and uncertainties, quality in health institutions, management of human resources and performance.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define health concept, factors affecting health and features of health system.
  • Explain the basic managerial and operational processes in a health institution and hospital organization.
  • Describe the responsabilities of higher, middle and lower level managers in hospitals.
  • List the performance evaluation criteria.
  • Describe the quality of service and related documents.
  • Describe ethical problems related to management and find solutions.
Course Description This course contains health concept, determinents of health, structure and organization of hospitals, strategic plan, management of human resources and performance, and quality management.
